Hi all!

I'm Reem - I'm 18, and a year ago, I knew nothing about hardware.

I always assumed that only the most super cracked people could do hardware, and that I needed an electrical engineering degree to build anything cool.

Then I learned to build my first printed circuit board through Hack Club.

I built Party in the Back - a really simple minion PCB with eyes that light up when you press the button! And I got funding from Hack Club to make it real.

Turns out - anyone can build hardware! You don't need any experience to get started.

Software has one of the largest gender gaps in STEM, and for hardware that difference is even greater.

That's why we created Hack Club Stasis. Learn to build hardware projects, get money to build them and fly out to an awesome 4 day long hardware hackathon in Austin, Texas.

Here's how to get started:

  1. Sign up at stasis.hackclub.com
  1. Create a project and start journaling your design process.
  1. Submit your project for review and get up to $300 USD to build it.
  1. Earn bits for every project you submit, once you earn 350 bits, you'll get your invite to the in-person event :)
  1. Fly to Austin, Texas on May 15-18, 2026 for a 4-day hardware hackathon with 100+ other awesome teenagers.
Join Hack Club's Stasis

All the while, you'll be building projects alongside hundreds of girls who are participating in Stasis too.

Can't make it to the event in Austin? We'll have a shop where you can get awesome stuff like 3D printers, soldering irons, and more!

Don't know where to get started? Check out some Stasis Starter Projects here.

We're also partnering with Hack Club's Sleepover! Learn to build a Printed Circuit Board. Submit it to Sleepover and Stasis to get 2 bonus feathers that you can use in the Sleepover shop!

I can't wait to see what you all make!

See you in Austin,
Reem, Meghana and the Stasis and Athena team
